Kim Massie in the Garden and Lots of Light at Night
Thursday, 17 July 2008
I had a really nice evening with Morgan. We went to the Missouri Botanical Garden to see Kim Massie and were invited to sit with Diana and her friends: Don, Caroline, and Peter. We shared some wine, cheese, fruit, and a nice, enamored couple nearby shared their cold tomato and carrot chowder with us.
The Niki sculpture exhibit is running through the summer and of course there are the now permanent Chihuly pieces. I nearly had a lapse in judgment and left the tripod at home. Fortunately for me, the moon was bright, the reflections were brilliant, the shadows were deep, and Morgan was extremely patient.

I never get to see her as often as I'd like to. I literally stumbled into Beale on Broadway one night and noticed the large crowd. I decided it might be best to see who or what everyone was waiting for, and that's when I discovered Kim. Saint Louis is lucky to have her. By all rights, she should be playing amphitheaters and concert halls. Perhaps she will some day. Cheers.
